 Hello Lake Charles!

It's been a while since I tried to write / post anything on here. I think it's time to start again. What do you think?

Anyone crafting / Scrapbooking?

What are you working on?

For myself, it's been a hot minute since I picked up paper, Card Stock, paper trimmer, adhesive and embellishments. I do believe it's time to start again.

Let's make a card.

I'm going to start with an A2 size card.

Start with a sheet of card stock, at least 65lbs works best. Cut the card, if it's another size, to 8.5" x 11". Now let's cut that in half. We end up with a piece of card that's 8.5" x 5.5".

Now let's fold one of the 2 sheets we ended up with in half.  Taking one end of the card gently fold it over to the other side, don't press down yet, lets make sure our ends are even first. After making sure our ends are together, even, then we can press down on the fold and crease it. If you have a bone folder now is the time to use it to give your fold a nice crisp edge. If you do not have a bone folder you can use a pen, ruler, etc. to press on the fold and make a crisp edge. Now we have our folded card to the size we need. it should measure 4.25" x 5.5".

From here there are so many different possibilities to make a card you can be proud of and your recipient will appreciate. Decorate the front of your card in any way you choose. You can draw a picture, stamp an image, use a diecut, some ribbons, scraps of paper, anything you choose to decorate the front of your card. Remember to stamp or write a sentiment inside the card and sign it so the receiver knows who to thank. There is just something about receiving a hand made card that can brighten a persons day.

Tomorrow we will add pictures and a diagram of the above card making process. Perhaps we will even make a card together.

Have a Blessed Night! See you tomorrow.
